Things are heating up at the Dota 2 WePlay AniMajor as the Group Stage ends. Getting the top spot and securing a placement in the Upper Bracket of the Playoffs is PSG.LGD. The team had a good performance winning 11 games out of 14.
Joining PSG.LGD is Team Nigma, which ended the Group Stage in second place. Nigma had a rather slow start but eventually won the needed games to enter the Upper Bracket.
Eliminated Teams
South American team beastcoast qualified for the Singapore Major but had to back out due to health concerns. The team managed to qualify for the WePlay AniMajor, earning them entry to the Group Stage. Results were not that good with the team having a tie for three matches and losing on four others.
Meanwhile, Team Liquid and Team Spirit had to go through a tie-breaker. Momentum was on Liquid’s side as they had beaten Spirit in the Group Stage at 2–0. The match started in favor of Liquid with three kills against Spirit. At around the 36-minute mark, the tides turned in favor of Spirit, which never looked back, and this resulted in Liquid’s elimination.
Lower Bracket
The other four teams on the Group Stage move forward to the Lower Bracket and await the results of the Upper Bracket matches. One of the teams is Evil Geniuses and while that may be a surprise to many, it doesn’t really impact EG. That’s because they’re already guaranteed a spot in TI10. If anything, they can fight for a share of the prize money.
What is surprising though is Vici Gaming. They ended the Wild Card on top but didn’t do so well in the Group Stage. The other two teams waiting in the Lower Bracket are TNC Predator and Spirit.

- June 9 at 4:00 p.m. ET
- Virtus.pro vs. Team Nigma

- June 9 at 10:00 p.m. ET
