Video games based on the Dragon Ball franchise are pretty much about fighting. Dragon Ball: The Breakers still has that but with something new. This online multiplayer game has “Survivors” go against the iconic “Raiders.”
In a statement, Producer Ryosuke Hara shared that while the focus remains on intense battle, it’s now about a group of players trying to survive or defeat a powerful Raider using gadgets, power-ups, and of course, wits. The game, according to Hara, gives players the ability to choose characters not usually found in Dragon Ball games through the Survivor Skin System. He added that players can look forward to a unique version of asymmetrical multiplayer gameplay while remaining authentic to the style and aesthetics of the series.
Survivors versus Raider
Dragon Ball: The Breakers is an asymmetrical multiplayer game where seven Survivors, all regular civilians, have been trapped in a “Temporal Seam.” They will go against a Raider, one of the famous rivals from the Dragon Ball universe. The Survivors need to team up and escape the enemy to return to the safety of their world and timeline. To do so, they need to use different gadgets like Transpheres, which contain the souls of Super warriors and give them special abilities and powers when used.
The game shares the same universe as Dragon Ball Xenoverse while also having features that link Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Dragon Ball: The Breakers.
