Dragon Ball FighterZ’s roster is growing once again, if the latest leak proves true. This information should not be taken as fact until confirmed by the developer or publisher. That said, these three new characters are incredibly exciting to see.
The tweet above shows a scan from the latest issue of Japanese magazine V-Jump. The image shows Beerus, Hit and Goku Black as additions to the roster. It’s awesome to see these fighters included, but the larger implication is that Dragon Ball FighterZ includes Dragon Ball Super content.
Additionally, if this scan is real, Beerus, Hit and Goku Black may be on the roster at some point, but not in the base game. It’s possible Bandai Namco will hold them back as DLC characters after Dragon Ball FighterZ releases in January.
However, if Dragon Ball FighterZ ships with 24 characters, we may already know the full launch roster. This hypothetical roster is as follows:
Android 16
Android 18 (with Android 17 support)
Android 21
Captain Ginyu (with Ginyu Force support)
Cell
Frieza
Future Trunks
Adult Gohan
Teen Gohan
Goku
Super Saiyan Blue Goku
Gotenks
Vegeta
Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta
Krillin
Kid Buu
Majin Buu
Nappa (with Saibamen support)
Piccolo
Tien Shinhan (with Chiaotzu support)
Yamcha
Hit (not confirmed)
Beerus (not confirmed)
Goku Black (not confirmed)
These latest additions do take away slots from fan-favorite characters such as Master Roshi, Raditz and Broly. It’s a safe bet the latter three will pop up at some point, but it’s likely not going to happen until the first wave of DLC gets announced. It’s also possible, seeing as how Android 21 is a new character to the franchise, other new characters may be hidden away in the story as well.
So what do you think? Are you excited to see Hit, Beerus and Goku Black as possible additions to the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster? Are there any other characters you would have liked to see instead, or hope to see as DLC? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
