Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 releases on the Nintendo Switch S e p t . 2 2, and Bandai Namco has announced the title will receive brand new DLC this fall.
Bandai Namco didn’t reveal much information about the upcoming DLC but posted a tweet showing off some screenshots of two new fighters coming to Xenoverse 2 , making it clear that this DLC won’t be part of the season pass.
Here’s Bandai Namco’s tweet about the upcoming Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC.
The new Xenoverse 2 screenshots confirm Dabura and Super Buu will make their debuts in the game. Of the four screens released, Super Buu gets the most love, as we see three of his special attacks from the anime. We have the Chocolate Ray, the Ghost Clone Explosions and, of course, the Kamehameha.
Dabura uses his special ability to turn fighters into stone, but we don’t see much else from the supposed king of the underworld. The two characters were noticeably absent when Xenoverse 2 was first released in 2016, but now fans can get their hands on both of them this fall.
Bandai Namco did clarify on Twitter that this DLC than will offer more than just the two new characters. When the DLC characters are released, there will also be a free update, which suggests that the fighters will have to be purchased. The upcoming new DLC will be available on all platforms, including the new Switch version.
The company also confirmed all of the non-DLC Xenoverse 2 characters were available now and for free on the Nintendo Switch version, including the Xenoverse 1 story DLC but that portion is only free for the first month of the Switch release so be sure to get to the Nintendo eShop and download it.
