The game is set in 1860s Kyo, a time where inequality is widespread. Players take on the role of the samurai legend Sakamoto Ryoma as he searches for justice. He's been accused of murdering someone he holds dear and now has no other choice but to renounce his name and go into hiding.
To discover the true identity of the killer, he has to hide himself among the wolves of the infamous Shinsengumi. Using the alias of Saito Hajime, he eventually becomes embroiled in the political schemes and savage violence that will reshape the country and give rise to legends.
This game is a remake of Ryū ga Gotoku Ishin!, which itself is a spin-off game in the Like A Dragon series. Features of the game include:
