A new update is now live in Elden Ring which introduces a new multiplayer feature with Colosseum arenas. Game Version 1.08 not only ups the ante for PvP but also introduces new cosmetic options and new balance adjustments to improve gameplay stability.
The doors of the Colosseum open for the first time to offer a new challenge by unlocking three new arenas. Each arena has its own sets of rules that players need to follow.
The Limgrave Colosseum, for example, has two modes:
- United Combat
- Combatants are divided into two teams to fight in timed battles with the ability to respawn.
- Each death and respawn gives points to the adversaries with the team having the highest score wins.
- Combat Ordeal
- It’s every Tarnished for themselves.
- Combatants in this mode can also respawn until the timer hits zero.
- The one with the most points is declared the victor.
Meanwhile, the Royal Colosseum located in Leyndell features Duel Mode where two Tarnished face off in a duel to the death without any ability to respawn. Finally, the Caelid Colosseum features all of the modes mentioned plus being able to summon Spirit Ashes to fight by the players’ side.
