A new trailer is out for Everybody’s Golf, the next entry in the series formerly known as Hot Shots Golf, featuring more than nine minutes of gameplay from the upcoming golf game. The entire trailer is presented in Japanese, leaving us unsure of what’s being said, but the video still offers an extensive look at Everybody’s Golf before it hits PSN later this month.
There’s been so little North American promotion for Everybody’s Golf that you’d be forgiven for forgetting that the game is going to be localized. We haven’t seen a stitch of English marketing since a localized version of Everybody’s Golf was confirmed back in April. Instead, fans have had to rely on a series of Japanese trailers featuring the people, places and things we’ll see in Everybody’s Golf when the game heads to PlayStation 4 at the end of August. It’s not ideal, but the good news is that sports games tend to be the kind of projects that most people know they’ll be buying (or skipping) long before the game heads to store shelves.
There are a handful of takeaways from the latest Everybody’s Golf trailer to pop up on YouTube. For starters, the game’s UI appears much busier than it was in the franchise’s last outing, Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational (2011), but it still appears simple enough for most players to get their bearings relatively quickly. Presentation has been noticeably improved. Small crowds will follow your golfer from one hole to the next and the game’s beautiful new courses leave little doubt that Everybody’s Golf will be the best-looking entry in the series to date.
