We finally have a release date for Fallout Worlds : September 8. This was confirmed during the Fallout 76 panel at QuakeCon 2021 titled "Making Appalachia Your Own with Fallout Worlds." This new content is available on all platforms.
Basically, Fallout Worlds is a thank you to the game’s modding community. This new system allows players to customize their very own worlds. For example, players can allow C.A.M.P.S. to be constructed on areas that were previously restricted. The difficulty settings can even be changed as well as PVP rules.
While it seems there’s a plan to have more customization in the future, players will settle first with Custom Worlds and Public Worlds.
Public Worlds
Public Worlds are a rotating series of Fallout Worlds experiences. These worlds have been hand-crafted by the team at Bethesda with input from the community. Each Public World offers various combinations of settings to offer a unique gameplay experience.
This one hopes to give all players the chance to experience what Fallout Worlds has to offer.
Custom Worlds
Custom Worlds is exclusive to Fallout 1st members. Unlike Public Worlds, this one gives members the ability to have their own personalized world. They have the decision on what conditions apply to their own world. For example, they can allow infinite ammo in combat and have more relaxed building restrictions.
Future Plans
The Fallout 76 team said that this is only the beginning. More customizable options will be offered and some are based on community feedback. The team shared that ultimately what they want is for players to have their very own world.
For those who can’t wait, Fallout Worlds is now available on the PTS. So grab that chance while you can.
Other Events
For those willing to wait, there’s still a lot happening in the game. Meat Week is in full swing and ends on August 23. It’s also double XP starting August 19 and all the way to August 23.
Fallout 76 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
