The anticipation for the upcoming expansion of Final Fantasy XIV just got even higher with this latest reveal. It turns out that the Endwalker expansion will update the job actions and offer new ones. In particular, new gameplay experiences are to be expected for Disciples of War and Magic jobs.
The new expansion also introduces significant changes to the mechanics of the Summoner job. Meanwhile, all healer jobs now have single target buffs. There are also timing-based effects for tank defensive cooldowns. These are just some of the many changes coming with Endwalker.
Changes to Expect
Here are some of the other changes:
- Duty Reward Adjustments
- Trials, which give weapons as a reward, now drop a weapon coffer in addition to one of the available weapon rewards.
- This should allow players to easily get the weapons of their choosing.
- This change is valid for both Normal and Extreme difficulties.
- System-related Updates
- Different quality of life updates like enhanced HUD customization, improved ground targeting functionality, and UI updates.
- Adjustments to HQ Items
- Some items like gathered items, enemy drops, and token exchange materials are no longer available as high-quality items.
- This is to reduce the overall inventory bloat and prevent unintended procurement of HQ items.
- Crafted items and equipment remain available as both normal- and high-quality.
