With Nintendo launching Super Mario Run on Dec. 15, it makes sense that the video game company will want some synergy between its mobile app offerings starting with its first app, Miitomo.
While Miitomo was a big deal when it first came out, the social app quickly died out. But there are still people who found it important enough to data mine, finding hints at possible future mobile games.
According to The Cutting Room Floor, “ a number of room textures that seem to be themed after the Fire Emblem mobile game announced in April 2016 were found in the code. The Fire Emblem logo shown during the announcement contains an emblem that matches one of the wall textures that was also found.
“Furthermore, all of the wall textures below contain Celtic designs, linking them together as a set. ”
Check out one of the wall textures found in the Miitomo app that looks to be linked to Fire Emblem.
There are also some floor textures that are linked to the upcoming Fire Emblem mobile app.
Nintendo announced a Fire Emblem mobile game as well as an Animal Crossing game to be released this holiday season but were pushed back to 2017 to make way for Super Mario Run .
It makes sense for Nintendo to reward players for using its library of apps and games. Rewarding Miitomo users with exclusive gear could bring back some of those who left the app after the first few weeks, but we will have to wait and see.
