Fortnite revealed that it is planning to make some change to the top end of Twine Peaks in the upcoming v10.30 update. The Fortnite team focused on the Twine Peaks Rewards along with that of the Mission Badges & Mission Rewards. Meanwhile, the team over at Fortnite Creative also unveiled updated Featured Island Guidelines.
Twine Peaks Rewards
The Fortnite Team said that the Twine Peaks 100+ four player missions are going to get a rewards buff and Pure Drop of Rain is going to get a 25% increase for PL 140 non-four player missions. What this means is that if you got 64 Pure Drop of Rain before, you now earn 80 Pure Drop of Rain. Not only that, evolution material rewards have also been increased for all four player missions over PL 100. Meanwhile PL 140 missions get an additional increase in rewards on top of the general improvement to evolution material Drop.
Mission Badges & Mission Rewards
The Fortnite team revealed that once the upcoming update goes live, earning badges now increases the amount of rewards players earn.
What this means is that when a player earns a badge for completing a bonus objective or badges for combat, building, and utility, players increase the total amount of rewards they earn upon successfully completing the mission. The values of these badges are different from mission to mission and vary in value based on how long, difficult, and resource-intensive the mission is. The treasure chest levels at the end of each mission are going to somehow reflect this.
Updated Featured Island Guidelines
For the Featured Island, the Fortnite Creative Developers introduced these new guidelines:
- Your Island is a game.
- Mechanics
- The team is looking for a mix of game types.
- This means your Island can be a multiplayer, co-op, pvp, solo, puzzle, parkour experience or something totally new.
- Difficulty
- While you may be amazing at Fortnite, not every player may be as skilled as you.
- The Team said that they appreciate a great game that is accessible to more players so if you are creating a deathrun map for example, try ramping the difficulty in each stage and having achievable checkpoints.
- Your game needs to have clear and consistent rules. The rules need to be easy to understand with minimal text explanation.
- The map is aesthetically pleasing.
- It is unique and is ultimately your own work.
- Contains no inappropriate content.
- The map should not include any images, artwork, sculptures, structures, logos, words, phrases, lyrics or music that are under copyright or trademark, as well as any content that was not created solely by you.
- The map should not contain URLs or web links. Telling people your handles on social media accounts however is fine.
