The BLAST Premier matches between G2 Esports and Complexity have concluded. The matchup between the two teams was played in a best of three series.
Mirage was the first map of the series. Complexity tried to rush on the first round through the apartments but it failed miserably. Kenny “kennyS” Schrub from G2 stopped the rush by getting a triple kill into the apartments, and then the rest of G2 just had to clean up the remaining Complexity members to win the first round. Complexity tried something really unexpected on round 12 by rushing through mid. However, Nikola "Niko" Kovač from G2 was waiting in the sniper nest and ceased the rush by killing four Complexity members. G2 took the lead in the first half with a 9-6 scoreline.
The second half was more intense as both G2 and Complexity were winning round after round and even tied with a 14-14 scoreline. In the final round, Complexity made a risky attempt. They rushed into the mid once again as Counter-Terrorists and Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke got a quad kill and won the match.
Dust2 was the second and final map of the series. G2 started with a decent 5-0 lead, however, Complexity eventually gained momentum. On round 13, k0nfig got a sweet double kill headshot after the bomb was planted. G2 made several plays like pushing in the last few seconds or rushing into the site, but Complexity was prepared for whatever G2 had in store for them. Complexity won Dust2 with a 16-12 scoreline and Benjamin "blameF" Bremer carried his team with 45 kills throughout the series.
