It's been a long time since we got our first glimpse of Game of Thrones Season 6 with trailer No. 1 and then a few weeks later with trailer No. 2. A vast majority of the scenes in the trailers have already happened. However, there remains a handful of teasers we've yet to see in the show that can give us clues as to what's happening in the final three episodes of Season 6.
Now that we know the confirmed Game of Thrones titles for the final 3 episodes (episode 8: "No One," episode 9 "Battle of the Bastards," and episode 10: "The Winds of Winter"), we can piece those together with images we haven't seen from the trailers and truede's infamous confirmed Game of Thrones Season 6 spoilers to figure out the likely scenarios that point toward how the season concludes.
'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Episode 8 Spoilers: Jaime and Brienne Meet at Riverrun, Arya
This weekend on Game of Thrones' "No One," the focus will once again be on Arya, Cersei in Kings Landing and the pending confrontation at Riverrun between Jaime, Brienne and the Blackfish. Last week ended with Arya getting stabbed by the Waif, Margery sending away her grandmother and Jaime arriving at Riverrun. Expect violent confrontations at Riverrun and Kings Landing this weekend.
Here are some images from the trailers that we haven't seen in Season 6 yet that are likely to appear this episode. Warning: MAJOR GAME OF THRONES SEASON 6 SPOILERS begin following the screenshots:
Here it looks like after Brienne and Podrick arrive in Riverrun and meet with the Blackfish, things take a turn for the worse. In the preview for episode 8 trailer, we hear Brienne say to Jaime, "Should I fail to persuade the Blackfish to surrender and if you attack the castle, honor compels me to fight you." It looks like Bron (maybe/probably/likely) grabs Podrick from behind. Bron and Jaime may have the upper hand here. It also appears that Brienne is fleeing at night, and maybe by herself.
According to the Game of Thrones Season 6 Reddit spoilers, Jaime's siege at Riverrun is successful and the Blackfish is presumed dead. Brienne allegedly escapes but we get no word on the fate Edmure Tully, Bron or Podrick. "Brienne fails but escapes" the deleted thread said. "Edmure is forced by Jaime to enter Riverrun and give it up since he is the rightful owner. The Blackfish apparently dies in battle but we never actually see it happen."
The Faith Militant, in this week's Game of Thrones episode 8 preview, confront Cersei, who says "I choose violence." It looks like we also get to see The Mountain finally in action this week as it appears he's about to rip the face off one of the High Sparrow's followers. Don't, however, expect the High Sparrow to approve of Cersei's request of a "Trail by Combat." So say goodbye to those Hound vs. The Mountain theories as the spoilers say "Trial by combat is denied so The Mountain doesn't do much this season. He does get to have his way with Septa Unella though."
We also know from the preview that Arya continues her attempt to escape Braavos and the Waif, unfortunately there are no more clues in the trailer or in the deleted Reddit Game of Thrones spoiler thread.
'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Episode 9 Spoilers: Battle of the Bastards, Battle of Winterfell Images
From the following images, and the title of the episode, it's obvious the bulk of Game of Thrones Season 6 episode 9 will center on the imminent showdown between Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton. Last week in "The Broken Man," we saw Jon Snow, Davos and Sansa trying to rally northern homes to come to the aid of House Stark. We'll likely get a little bit more of that, and maybe some clues as to whom Sansa sent a raven to, before the battle. And that battle, whether you call it the Battle of the Bastards or the Battle of Winterfell, will be bloody. It's reportedly the biggest and longest battle scene the show has shot to date.
Our favorite Game of Thrones leaker has few Game of Thrones Season 6 spoilers left, especially from the Game of Thrones Bastard Bowl we'll see in episode 9. These are from the deleted Reddit thread so be careful, MAJOR GAME OF THRONES SEASON 6 SPOILERS AHEAD.
According to the spoilers, Jon Snow and his army are successful in the Battle of Winterfell where Snow chooses to imprison Ramsay instead of killing him. Truede's deleted Reddit post did say one Stark would die this season and here are the details to Rickon's unfortunate death.
"Ramsay and Jon meet across the battlefield. Ramsay releases Rickon and tells him to run toward his brother," the confirmed spoilers said. "As Rickon runs, Ramsay starts shooting arrows up in the air one at a time that keep missing him. Jon starts galloping toward Rickon but just as he reaches him, one of Ramsay's arrow hits him and he dies in Jon's arms. Sansa is the smart one. She tells Jon before the battle that Rickon is already dead.”
Allegedly more characters die, but they were not revealed in the spoilers, other than the fact that "Wun Wun lives." Also, "Davos will find the little toy or whatever he gave to Shireen. He will confront Melisandre and she will admit to having her burned.”
'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Finale Spoilers: Longest GoT Episode Ever Will Have Many Deaths And Maybe A New King
This week it was revealed that the Game of Thrones Season 6 finale will run 69 minutes, which is by far the longest episode in the series' history. It is directed by Miquel Sapochnik, who directed Season 5's best episode, "Hardhome." Most of our confirmed Game of Thrones Season 6 spoilers, by this point, will have happened but there are a few things we're certain will transpire. And luckily, there are even more things we don't know in the finale.
Based on the footage from the trailers we have yet to see, it appears the Sons of the Harpy will have at least one more attack in Mereen, though we are unsure which episode this occurs in. It also appears like Mereen sees a huge explosion from an unknown source.
The deleted Reddit Game of Thrones Season 6 spoilers post also suggested several major characters die in the finale but he/she didn't specify further. Truede, who we reached out to and did not respond, said Tyrion does not interact with the dragons any more and that Tommen dies after jumping out of a window. We, allegedly, don't see the Night's King or the White Walkers again but we will see Dorne one more time in the finale.
Oh ... and the Tower of Joy. We do finally see what's in the flashback scene in the Game of Thrones Season 6 finale.
“Bran will have one more 'flashback' in the finale and we will see what's in the Tower ... We see Lyanna Stark… Lyanna whispers something to Ned before she dies. We then see a baby, and the very next scene we see Jon.”
Game of Thrones Season 6 episode 8, "No One" airs at 9 p.m. EST Sunday on HBO.
