The PC specs for Gears of War 4 have been released, and they may come as a bit of a surprise. The minimal, recommended and ideal specs for both AMD and NVidia graphics cards are as as follows:
While there’s really nothing too crazy here, your eyes may pop at the bottom of the picture. 80GB storage space? That’s… that’s a lot of gigs. Keep in mind, Gears of War 4 is going for a 4K experience at 60 fps. Those textures require more information, which takes up more hard drive space.
For Xbox One owners, this may not necessarily be the case for you. If you have a physical copy, plenty of information could be saved on the disc. There will still probably be some kind of installation required though, given today’s gaming landscape. Get to clearing up that space, or buying an expanded hard drive!
The Xbox One version should also naturally be a smaller file size, given the Xbox One and Xbox One S cannot play games in 4K. The One S does support video playback in 4K, but not gameplay. No 4K means smaller textures, and a smaller overall file size.
