Spanish developer Nomada Studios has managed to sell over a million copies of its adventure-platformer Gris since launch and celebrated by tweeting “we are thrilled to announce that Gris has sold more than one million copies…crazy!!! Thanks to our team, families, @devolverdigital and especially to all of you who made this possible.” Nomada Studio has also given away a small catalog of unused music and designs.
A lot of new players picked up the game during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, allowing Nomada to achieve the milestone. It is very exciting to see small platform games such as Gris gaining in popularity and selling more copies to players to enjoy while they are affected by the ongoing pandemic. Gris is a platform game which has very good reviews on Steam. The game has a similar style to Journey, which is another incredible platform-adventure game
Publisher Devolver Digital also has other games with very interesting game mechanics such as My Friend Pedro, Shadow Warrior, Katana Zero, and others. All of these games are on sale right now on Steam.
So, what are your thoughts on Gris selling over a million copies? Are you planning on buying the game while it’s on sale from the Steam store? Personally, I would suggest getting My Friend Pedro along with Gris as both games have a really good single-player experience. Whatever your thoughts may be, let us know in the comments below.
