Forgiven has been granted a temporary deferment of military service, so that he can continue playing. H2K released a statement on their Facebook and Twitter thanking fans for all their hard work. This is great news for H2K, who now have a full roster and a chance to win the EU LCS. After Forgiven’s heartfelt speech last Thursday, many were unsure whether he would still be playing in the LCS. Now we know he will able to at least finish the split, but it remains unclear if he will be able to play in the Summer Split or attend the World Championship.
Fans have been pouring their support for Forgiven’s situation on reddit and social media. All of the petitions and comments may not have affected the Greek army’s decision to let Forgiven defer, but it’s great to see the community rally behind such a noble cause.
Next week H2K plays Roccat and Splyce, which should be easy wins for the European super
team.
