The annually-held D.I.C.E. Awards finally concluded yesterday. However, thanks to COVID-19, it was a virtual event rather than a physical one. You can watch the entire event below.
Hades, the fan-favorite indie by Supergiant Games, dominated the event. It was nominated for eight awards and won five of them, including the Game of the Year award. For an indie game, Hades sure has been making a lot of noise. The said dungeon crawler game also swept the 2021 BAFTA Awards.
The second highest award winner was Sony’s own Ghost of Tsushima, winning a total of four awards including awards for Music, Art Direction, Audio, and Adventure GOTY.
The Last of Us Part 2 and Half-Life: Alyx both won two awards. The former won awards for animation and story while the latter won the Immersive Reality GOTY and Immersive Reality Technical Achievement.
Although TLOU2 might not have been that influential in this event, it previously swept The Game Awards 2021 and also won player-voted GOTY in the 2021 BAFTA Games Awards.
