A bunch of cool stuff has been added in the latest patch for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Read further to find out what they are.
Matchmaking Rejoin Feature
In the December 2022 Update, Halo: The Master Chief Collection players can now rejoin a matchmaking session by going to the multiplayer menu and initiating a requeue. This is handy for those who got disconnected due to a bad internet connection.
Players also have the option of abandoning the queue to start a new search. To do that, they just need to press the Matchmake button in the “Rejoin Match” pop-up, which can only appear if the last match they’ve played is still in progress. Keep in mind that abandoning ongoing matches may result in temporary bans.
New Features for Halo 4
Skulls in Halo 4 provide players with different modifiers depending on the one they have enabled. That said, Acrophobia and Bandanna skulls have been added to the Halo 4 campaign of the MCC.
The Acrophobia Skull gives players the ability to fly through the air by double-pressing and holding down the jump button. This is perfect for getting them to locations they ordinarily couldn't access on foot.
On the other hand, those who don’t want to be bothered by limited resources should use the new Bandanna Skull. This thing gives players instant cooldowns for their equipped Armor Ability, as well as infinite ammo and grenades.
Steam Workshop Support
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is now fully integrated with the Steam Workshop. Players can browse the workshop for any mods that they like without the hassle of transferring appropriate files and folders manually.
Players should check out this awesome mod called COMBAT REVOLVED based on Halo: Combat Evolved. This mod features a complete gameplay and visual overhaul of CE, with a fresh campaign experience, UNSC weapon changes, and vastly improved enemy AI. Additionally, the mod makes Linda, another Spartan-II Soldier, playable!

- In the mission Sierra 117 on Xbox consoles, the bottom of the water surface now appears correctly when viewed from below.
- Cortana's horizontal scan lines are now consistent across all resolutions and match their appearance in the original release of Halo 3 on Xbox 360.
- The lighting on clouds in the final cutscene of the mission Floodgate now matches the original release of Halo 3 on Xbox 360.
- When playing the mission Halo with Campaign Customization enabled, the Warthog in the final cutscene now uses the correct skin.
- The Killing Frenzy medal and announcer voice line will now trigger without a delay once players kill 10 enemy players without dying.

- Players in online co-op sessions may be booted to the main menu and receive "Connection Interrupted" errors in the following scenarios:
- When playing the mission Quarantine Zone.
- When one player triggers a checkpoint while driving a Scorpion and another player is driving a different vehicle.
- When skipping the opening cutscene in the mission Outskirts.
- When playing a Campaign Playlist.
