Out of nowhere , the next Hearthstone Hero skin has just been revealed. Khadgar is “a well-known hero to the denizens of Azeroth! Once Medivh’s apprentice, now he’s renowned as one of the most powerful Mages in history! Whether battling against shadowy councils, or holding the line against unwelcome iron incursions, Khadgar is always a staunch guardian of Azeroth and the entities that call it home.”
The skin for Mage will be available until April 24 for $4.99, part of the Apps for Change initiative at Apple. The World Wildlife Fund will receive all the proceeds from the skin. You can only purchase it on iOS, but once you do it will appear in the rest of your Hearthstone collection. Blizzard has done charity events before, being one of the first game companies to sell items with proceeds going to charity. In 2015, Blizzard released Argi for World of Warcraft and raised more $1.9 million.
Khadgar has one of the coolest entrances of any hero. Rings swirl around him and he says “knowledge is power.” If you have a chance, you should definitely check him out. It’s weird that a WWF skin isn’t going to a Druid, but it’s still cool to see Blizzard doing something good for the animals.
