Hearthstone announced that its Rise of Shadows expansion will offer a single-player with The Dalaran Heist. Like the other single-player campaigns released, this one also gives players the choice among nine underlings, each having its own unique ability.
According to Hearthstone Missions Designer Giovanni Scarpati, the story follows Rafaam, who assembles a team of miscreants and villains with the plan of pulling off what may be the most daring heist in Azeroth.

The heist takes place across five chapters, with each step of the plan being carried out by the League of E.V.I.L. Making this new content even more exciting is that each chapter offers players unique encounters along with a final boss and a tweak for the mechanics:
- Chapter 1: Dalaran Bank
- Twist: Coin-filled Coffers
- Chapter 2: The Violet Hold
- Twist: Imprisoned Minions
- Chapter 3: Streets of Dalaran
- Twist: Crowded Streets
- Chapter 4: The Underbelly
- Twist: Swapped Attack and Health
- Chapter 5: Kirin Tor Citadel
- Twist: Four Additional Encounters
The Dalaran Heist also gives players a number of new features particularly for the Hearthstone Solo Adventures with:
- New Loadout System
- Players can customize their play style through new Hero Powers and alternate starting deck options, which are unlocked through play.
- Non-combat Tavern Encounter
- These deck-building encounters, which occur on every run, allow players to make changes to their deck, to help set them up for success throughout the rest of the chapter.
- Anomaly Mode
- After unlocking all five chapters, players can jump in and play with random alterations to the rules.
To celebrate this new content, Hearthstone scheduled a two-day tournament with eight of Hearthstone's top players battling it out in teams of two. At stake is a prize of $10,000 per team. The competition is from May 14 to May 15 and can be viewed on Twitch.

The Dalaran Heist begins May 16 with the first chapter, Dalaran Bank available for free. Each succeeding chapters can be unlocked fro 700 gold or around $6.99 each. An all-inclusive release is offered and is priced at around $16.99.
