After the incredible event that was E3 2019, in two weeks’ time we will be experiencing another, as San Diego Comic-Con will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. Of course, one of the convention’s permanent mainstays, Marvel Entertainment, has announced that it will be there to celebrate the occasion and bring along with it a host of all-star panels from its various arms - Marvel Comics, Marvel Television, Marvel Games, Marvel Animation, and Marvel New Media.
For this piece, we’ll be taking more of an in-depth look at Marvel Games and their presence at San Diego Comic-Con this year. E3 has been a warm-up for much of Marvel's newer titles, including the Nintendo Switch-exclusive Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order and Crystal Dynamics’ next big title, Marvel’s Avengers, which debuted on the Square Enix E3 2019 stage.
Without further ado, let’s take a closer look at what Marvel Games has in store for SDCC this year, including the panels, demos, discussions, signings, and so much more. All times are in Pacific Time.
Marvel Games Panel (Thursday, July 18, 1:30 p.m. PDT, Hall H)
The main bulk of the event will of course be relegated to the Historic Hall H, where the slew of Marvel Games’ lineup will be presented. The three main titles include:
- Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, developed by Team Ninja exclusively for the Nintendo Switch
- Marvel's Iron Man VR, developed by Camouflaj and will be released exclusively for the PlayStation VR
- Marvel's Avengers, developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix, set to be released on May 15, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia
