'Heroes of the Storm' Gets Time-Jumping Tracer From 'Overwatch'

I would have preferred Winston Blizzard

Heroes of the Storm just released a new trailer for their next hero, Tracer. She’s Overwatch’s powerful gunslinger who ran into a bit of butt controversy a few weeks ago. With that behind her (I had to do it) she’s ready to shoot the various demons, dwarves and elves that populate Blizzard’s simple to learn MOBA. If you preorder Overwatch, she will be available on April 19, but everyone else will have to wait until April 26 to play Tracer.

Tracer’s kit is a cross between Ekko and Lucian from League of Legends . She reverses time and teleports while shooting her hand guns, all while on the move. She is a great character for beginners; if you get caught you can just teleport back in time before you got yourself into that sticky situation. She also requires no orb walking, a term popularized in MOBAs to refer to auto attacking and walking to maximize damage and distance traveled. Tracer just automatically locks onto a target and unloads her clip.

Heroes of the Storm looks more interesting every time I take a look at it. Blizzard is really stepping up their game, pulling in as many of the characters from their different properties as they can fit. They even have a hero that needs to be played by two different people, Cho’Gall. According to Ten Ton Hammer , he isn’t that bad, which is a testament to how good HOTS design team is. If Riot ever made a League champion that required two people, it would break the game.

Will you be playing Tracer? Tell us in the comments!
