Hitman 2 officially released its content update for January. According to developer IO Interactive, this year the game is going to focus on Featured Contracts, Elusive Target Reactivations, and Curated Contracts. In addition, IOI Month livestreams continue along with updates and insight directly from the IOI Team.
Featured Contracts
For this month, Hitman 2 chose 11 contracts from the Official Submission Thread on the Hitman forums. The contracts are going to be added to the game starting tomorrow, January 9. For this month, the theme is "Stay Frosty," so players should expect to spend their time outside of Hokkaido. That's right, the featured contracts are going to offer a combination of targets and locations for everyone to enjoy.
Elusive Target Reactivation
The Undying is back. The return of The Undying signals the start of a full reactivation of all the Hitman 2 Elusive Targets. This means that for 10 days, Mark Faba is going to be in Miami and will be available to those who missed him the first time around. However, for those who completed, or failed, this Elusive target, their record stands and the contract remains closed.
Curated Contracts
Hitman 2 revealed that that they have a community curator lined up to pick some of their favorite contracts. Those picked are then going to be included in the game. IO Interactive is also going to allow for room on the blog to share why those contracts were chosen. The first Curator is going to be MulletPride, who is a regular name within the Hitman Community.
IOI Monthly
This monthly look behind the scenes at IO Interactive will continue in 2020 with more developers, more insight, and updates from the studio. For January, the episode includes a new video in the ‘Meet the Team’ series along with the February Content Calendar. Be sure to tune in to Twitch or Mixer on January 30.
Hitman 2 was released in 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It is the seventh installment in the Hitman franchise and is the sequel of the 2016 game Hitman. Hitman 2 received generally positive reviews with critics praising it as an improvement compared to its predecessor.
