With just days left before it’s released, Hitman 3 is giving everyone a peek at how the game starts. That’s right, the opening cinematic was just released and it sets the tone of the game while hyping you up.
You can watch it for yourself below:
It’s not just that! Hitman 3 also gave out details of what’s going to happen on the day of release. The game is coming out on January 20 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Versions for next-gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S are launching on the same day as well.
Hitman 3 is expected to use about 60 to 70 GB of storage space for most of the supported platforms. This does not include, of course, Switch and Stadia. While the data downloaded includes content needed to access Hitman 1 and Hitman 2, players would still have to buy or own both games to play them. Otherwise, they’ll only have Hitman 3.
There’s also going to be a day one patch for all Hitman 3 disc users. Those who have digital copies, however, have the patch automatically applied. In particular, the patch gives access to the VR mode of PlayStation.
This isn’t the first time Hitman 3 gave a tease as the game previously revealed all the new locations. Read more about them here.
Pre-orders have been offered too, which you can learn more about here.
Next-gen Upgrades
Those who buy Hitman 3 for PS4 or Xbox One will get free upgrades to the next-gen version. It’s important to remember that those who buy the game on disc and have a disc-free next-gen console won’t be able to get the upgrade.
For players who make a digital purchase, it’s going to be a bit straightforward. This is because they’re immediately given the ability to download the next-gen version once they access the game for the particular console.
Those who buy a physical disc need to do it differently. First, they need to insert the current-gen disc into their next-gen console. After that, they can then download the next-gen version for free. Just be sure to keep the disc in the machine while playing.
Excited yet?
