New details on Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios post-launch plans for Homefront: The Revolution was released this week. The two companies also announced a wide variety of pre-order bonuses, along with a detailed breakdown of the Homefront: The Revolution Goliath Edition set to debut on launch day.
Pre-order bonuses aren’t exactly new to the video game industry at this point. So it probably shouldn’t come as much of a shock that Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios have a total of five promotional DLC packs being offered to those who pre-orders Homefront from different retailers. Everyone who orders a copy of the game will receive the Revolutionary Spirit pack, a small collection of alternate costumes to be used in Resistance Mode. All pre-order customers will also receive the Liberty Pack. From there, your pre-order bonus depends on your choice of retailer. GameStop customers will nab the Guerrilla Care Package and Combat Stimulant Pack, while Amazon buyers will get a free copy of the Wing Skull Pack. In a bit of a twist, Best Buy customers aren’t being offered any Homefront: The Revolution DLC. Instead, those who pre-order from Best Buy will receive a free Steelbook case for the game.
Unsurprisingly, given Deep Silver’s previous over-the-top collector’s packages, there will also be a $159 Goliath Edition released on launch day. Those who spring for the Goliath Edition will receive Homefront: The Revolution, a steelbook case for the game, 32-page art book, a download code for the Revolutionary Spirit DLC, the game’s Season Pass and a remote controlled replica of the Goliath tank used by the KPA in Homefront. Unfortunately, for gamers outside the U.S. and Canada, the Goliath Edition will be a North American exclusive. Deep Silver also says it will release additional information on the content covered by the Homefront: The Revolution Season Pass at a later date.

In addition to the Season Pass and Collector’s Edition information, Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios surprised fans by announcing plans to release a steady stream of free Resistance Mode content over the 12 months following the launch of Homefront: The Revolution. Neither company is ready to announce specific information about the free content at this time; however, we do know the free add-ons will include new challenges, equipment and mission for Homefront: The Revolution’s cooperative mode.
Homefront: The Revolution is being developed for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game is currently scheduled to debut on May 17.
