A pair of new promotional videos for Homefront: The Revolution debuted this week, less than a month before the open-world shooter heads to PC and consoles, giving fans an early look at the game’s introductory cinematic. The publisher also released a short documentary on the North Korean tech company that plays a major role in the plot of Homefront: The Revolution.
On Tuesday, Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios published “America Has Fallen”, a new trailer for Homefront: The Revolution that will apparently double as the game’s opening cinematic. The new trailer arrived just one day after a short documentary on the Apex Corporation; a fictitious organization responsible for North Korea’s economic dominance in Homefront: The Revolution’s alternate history. Combined, the new videos provide viewers with an incredible amount of context for the situation they’ll be trying to rectify over the course of the game’s campaign. The videos also do an excellent job of explaining how exactly a fairly small, remote country like North Korea could overthrow the U.S. government and successfully occupy a significantly larger country.
