A new gameplay trailer for Homefront: The Revolution debuted on Tuesday, just days after rumors of a May launch hit the web, and the game’s latest promotional clip officially confirms the Homefront: The Revolution release date rumors that circulated last week.
On Tuesday morning, Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios unveiled a brand new trailer for Homefront: The Revolution; a three-minute clip dubbed “This Is Philadelphia.” The trailer includes several minutes of new gameplay footage, captured throughout the occupied city, giving newcomers a bit of background on the situation players will face in the Homefront: The Revolution campaign. And it looks like four years under the oppressive boot of the Korean People’s Army has been rough on the City of Brotherly Love.
There’s not much in the way of hard data in this week’s gameplay footage. Rather than focus on a specific mechanic or feature, the latest Homefront: The Revolution trailer sets the tone for the game’s campaign and really tries to drive home the dire situation the United States find themselves in just a few years removed from the first Homefront. Those hoping to get a more mechanical breakdown of the game can look back to our hands-on impressions of Homefront: The Revolution from PAX Prime.
