We’re less than a week away from the debut of Homefront: The Revolution, which heads to PC and consoles on May 17, and Deep Silver is celebrating with the release of what has to be one of the last promotional videos for the upcoming shooter. And those wanting more information about the game’s plot won’t want to miss this week’s Homefront: The Revolution story trailer.
While not nearly as long as the last promotional video we saw for Homefront: The Revolution, a documentary-style look at the fictitious timeline in which the game is set, this week’s trailer spends a couple of minutes focused entirely on the plot of the open-world shooter. In Homefront , players step into the boots of Ethan Brady, the latest recruit of a small militia with an impossible mission: push the Korean People’s Army back out of Philadelphia.
To our surprise, the trailer doesn’t include a single word about the Apex Corporation ; the fictitious company behind North Korea’s successful occupation of the United States. But the game’s story trailer does briefly discuss the “humanitarian mission” the KPA claimed to be undertaking when its troops first landed on American soil. It also introduces a new figure in the Resistance, Bradley Walker, who will apparently play a key role in the story.
