The Horizon franchise by Guerrilla Games is getting another crucial addition. Horizon Call of the Mountain, announced early this year, has finally been shown by Sony. The game will work exclusively on PlayStation VR2. The release date or window hasn’t been provided yet.
About the Game
Horizon Call of the Mountain is quite different from other Horizon games. You will fill in the shoes of a new character named Ryas. He is a former member of the Shadow Carja group, an antagonist group in Horizon Zero Dawn. Ryas is trying to redeem himself by investigating a new threat that endangers Sundom.
Just like the previous games, you will use archery to fight robots and climb to those tough-to-reach areas, however, in virtual reality. You will meet several new and old characters, including Aloy herself. How the story of Call of the Mountain will connect to the main game is yet to be seen.
Horizon Call of the Mountain - River Ride Experience
The world of Horizon Call of the Mountain is not just robots and combat. The game will also feature an immersive River Ride experience where you will enjoy the mesmerizing views of the game world. However, keep in mind that there’s always danger lurking nearby.
Major Update for Horizon Forbidden West
Horizon Forbidden West isn’t abandoned by the Guerrilla just yet. The developer just released a major update that brought highly demanded features. You can finally play the game with New Game Plus, and access the Ultra Hard difficulty. Several QoL features are introduced as well, like being able to reset and redistribute skills. Fans would be happy to know that the developer is working on VRR Support and 40 FPS mode too.
