Just when it looked like we might be waiting an extra 12 months for Horizon Zero Dawn , new marketing materials for Guerrilla Games’ upcoming open-world game suggest the studio and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment still believe Horizon Zero Dawn will be ready this year.

Late last month, a well-known industry insider claimed Horizon Zero Dawn wouldn’t emerge until 2017, when it would debut alongside the oft-rumored PlayStation 4K . The delay didn’t appear to be due to any shortcoming on the part of the game, instead reserving a first-party title to serve as a “launch game” for the revamped PS4, but the news was still received about as well as you’d think. Thankfully, the burgeoning Horizon Zero Dawn community now has reason to believe those claims were either wrong or based on old information.

Fliers included with French copies of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End still say that Horizon Zero Dawn will be released before the end of 2016 . We still don’t have an exact timeline for the PS4 game’s debut, and it’s been a few months now since Guerrilla had anything to say about the project. But with E3 2016 just around the corner, it seems likely that we’re no more than a few weeks away from learning more about Sony’s plans for Horizon Zero Dawn .

Of course, it’s always possible that the HZD fliers were printed before the decision was made to delay Horizon Zero Dawn . After all, Naughty Dog announced that Uncharted 4 went gold back in March and production of physical copies presumably began soon after. Word of the Horizon Zero Dawn release date delay didn’t break until more than a month later. But we’d sure like to think someone at Guerrilla and/or Sony would have called for the fliers to be pulled if that was the case.
