A pretty hefty update is now available for Humankind. The biggest new feature is the addition of coastal sieges. There is also a new fullscreen mode added to the video settings, so you can enjoy the game in its full glory without the annoying borders.
Those who have been clamoring for a way to take island cities will be excited to know that naval battles via coastal sieges are available. The devs have also improved the feedback of naval transports, militias, and siege weapons.
Aside from that, many improvements were included in Update 1.0.3.253. For instance, the surrender panel has been improved, and the flow of animations and dialogues are now more streamlined between avatars in the diplomacy screen. Expansionist costs have also been reduced.
For fixes, an issue where Civics cannot be unlocked under specific conditions has been fixed. This is a huge one since Civics can play a huge role in the game, where the decisions you make may affect your whole empire.
Other important changes include global pollution effects now scale with district count, increased global pollution thresholds by a factor of 2.5, and balanced local and global pollution effects to put more importance on local effects.
