The first gameplay for Scarecrow in Injustice 2 has been shown in NetherRealm Studios’ latest trailer, which shows off the different powers and moves of the classic Batman villain.
In the Scarecrow trailer, you see plenty of Dr. Jonathan Crane’s abilities and attacks along with his finishing move that is one of the best in the game. Take a look at the Injustice 2 gameplay trailer for Scarecrow below.
Via the NetherRealm team’s Watchtower Twitch stream, Gorilla Grodd, Firestorm and Scarecrow and the Batman villain was given a lot of love on stream.
One of Scarecrow’s special attacks is a gas burst that push back opponents. It doesn’t have a lot of range, but it can also be performed in the air. His hook is a great combo starter and ender and gives Scarecrow a lot of range. Scarecrow has a teleport that will allow him to get behind the opponent.
Scarecrow also has a grab that splits his personality between Dr. Crane and Scarecrow that pulls you on either side. Scarecrow also has an energy wave that can absorb projectiles and if the opponent is close enough, the said energy wave will hit them as well.
His character power builds up his Fear Meter that will put a shroud around Scarecrow. When Scarecrow attacks an opponent or uses a gas move, that meter will build up. If the opponent is close enough, they will take damage over time when the meter is building up. When the meter is full, Scarecrow can perform a full screen ground pound.
More gears for Scarecrow were shown during the Twitch stream and the first ability replaces the energy wave to give Scarecrow a traditional projectile of crows. The second ability will enhance the energy wave that allows Scarecrow to throw out a ground wave across the screen.
Another ability replaces a fear-nado and gives Scarecrow a plague attack that summons insects below the opponent's feet to disorient them. This ability will take up two slots, so choose wisely.
