Good news for fans of Jujutsu Kaisen! A video game of this highly popular manga and anime is coming soon for everyone to enjoy. The game is called Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash and will be published by Bandai Namco Entertainment America.
The game is going to be a 3D action brawler where players get to create a team from the roster of Jujutsu Sorcerers and Cursed Spirits and fight in 2v2 combat using powerful attacks known as Cursed Techniques. It's planned for release on PC through Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
Arena Brawls
For fans of the series, they can look forward to arena brawls where they not only play through but even relive the original story and series' action where Yuji Itadori, along with other unforgettable characters, defend humanity and fight against monsters called Curses.
Faithful to the Source
The game remains faithful to the original work with the visuals inspired by the series' unique aesthetics. There's also a roster of more than 15 favorite fighters to choose from and intense action and explosive animations.
Fight in Tag Team Battles
The game has players create their own teams and execute a wide range of powerful tag-team attacks and combos. It's important to note that different character combinations offer unique synergies and power dynamics. By completing battles, players can increase the power level of their fighters which in turn unlocks stronger attacks.
In a statement, Bandai Namco Producer Misaki Kai shared that the unique and gripping storyline, along with the intense action, makes the series the perfect anime that can be developed into a video game. Kai went on to say that this upcoming title remains true to the source material and invites players to an amazing anime universe.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It was adapted into an anime television series with season one airing from October 2020 to March 2021 and the second season premiering this month.
Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash is not the first game to be based on the series. A while back, it was announced that Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade was being developed for mobile. It was originally planned for a 2022 release but has since been delayed to 2023.
