Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’s sequel releases at the end of the year, but before that, Jumanji: The Video Game will hit consoles and PC on November 15. Basically, it’s a good year to be a Jumanji fan.
Bandai Namco and Outright will be handling the development of Jumanji: The Video Game. Outright is a company known for its recent works on licensed games such as Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion, Paw Patrol: On a Roll, and Dragons: Dawn of the New Riders.
“Jumanji is a property we have been eager to work with for a long time," Terry Malham, the CEO of Outright said in the announcement. "Our specialty as a video game publisher is in producing high-quality interactive-entertainment for the whole family to enjoy and there is no brand more exciting for families right now than Jumanji."
Jumanji: The Video Game will follow the story of the four heroes from the original Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle movie: Dr. Smolder Bravestone, Ruby Roundhouse, Franklin Finbar, and Professor Shelly Oberon. Each character has their own sets of skills that will help the whole team. Together, you will look for the Jewels of Jumanji while fighting different kinds of creatures, escaping traps, and facing raiders, all to escape the game and make it back home.
There are some very fun and cool features to look forward to in Jumanji: The Video Game. You will be returning to the jungle to play as the heroes of the movie, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle in a humorous action-packed 3D adventure. You can team up with three more friends through online or split-screen mode, or go solo with AI companions at your back. Be sure to watch out for the beautiful yet dangerous environments like the mountain, city, and the jungle. Rounds are never the same, so make sure that each experience will be different as you travel to improve your skills, unlock outfits and acquire weapons styles.
Jumanji: The Video Game will be out for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 15. For now, we’ll have to look forward to more announcements.
