Yesterday, a massive patch hit the League of Legends PBE , filled with mage reworks, elemental dragons and massive item changes. In all of that chaos, you might have missed that Riot added three new skins to the game. The theme is macabre; death and discord fuel these “gothic horror” monstrosities.
Iron Inquisitor Kayle rocks a white mask, red raven wings and a sword straight out of a fantasy battlefield. She reminds me a bit of a Sister of Battle from Warhammer 40k ; maybe Riot will give us a Space Marine Morgana. It sounds ridiculous, but tell me Morgana holding a giant Bolter wouldn’t look magnificent.
Curse Revenant Nocturne looks like he stepped right out of Dark Souls . Nocturne has to be one of the hardest champions to make skins for, since he’s technically just a head and arms. Now, he has a hood and spiky arm epaulets, but it’s still the same old Nocturne. I’ll be sticking to Frozen Terror Nocturne when I want to turn the map black and terrify my opponents.
Black Scourge Singed is the most thematically strong of the trio. The mad scientist wears a plague mask , what doctors in medieval times would wear to scare away the evil spirits making someone sick. He’s got a coffin strapped to his back and uses the lid as his shield to flip people. There’s even a body inside the coffin wrapped up with a stained mouth.
These evil skins will all be available for 750 RP when the next patch drops.
