After 10 years with OGN, shoutcasters Christopher “MonteCristo” Kjell Mykles and Erik “Doa” Lonnquist are leaving. Both personalities confirmed the move on Twitter Tuesday, though what they will do next remains a mystery. Monte and Doa have been casting Korean League of Legends games since the game first came released there. Since then, week after week, they’ve cast the heck out of every LCK game and it’s going to be hard to watch SK Telecom play again.
It's true. Tough decision to make, but it's time to move on. @MonteCristo and I will have a video out soon! https://t.co/D02gMLeYGG

MonteCristo has been a longtime advocate of shoutcasters rights and over the last year has gotten into a pretty messy fight with LoL’ s parent company, Riot Games. OGN and Riot are two separate entities on different sides of the globe, so I would hope that Monte and Doa didn’t have to leave on bad terms. My guess is the duo will continue casting Overwatch games and will become important faces for the Overwatch Pro League, Blizzard’s MLB style tournament, starting this year.
After 10 seasons, @ggDoA and I have chosen to stop casting LCK. It was a heart-wrenching decision and we will release a statement soon. https://t.co/5kR21eY8iA

MonteCristo is one of my favorite shoutcasters of all time. His deep game knowledge, combined with charismatic on-screen personality made every tournament with him a joy. I started watching Overwatch pro tournaments solely because of Cristo’s casts. League of Legends isn’t going to be the same without him, so I hope he doesn’t quit casting the game for good.
