League of Legends Update 12.8 is finally here, and this time, several champions are getting buffed. Three strong champions - Jinx, Xayah, and Soraka - have been nerfed, however, because of their high pick rates in solo queue and pro play in the previous few patches.
Buffed Champs
Tristana
Tristana has been snowballing for quite some time. So, developers are restoring her identity back as a scaling champion. To do that, Tristana’s AD growth is increased from 3.3 to 3.7 at every level. Her AD at level 18 becomes 121.9.
Mordekaiser
Mordekaiser is a really strong top laner but he struggles against ranged champions and in team fights. To close gaps better, Mordekaiser's bonus movement speed has been increased to 3/6/9% at levels 1/6/11 which should help him chase enemies and deal damage using his passive. If you like fighting 1v1s in the top lane, it might be best to ban this champion in this update.
Nerfed Champions
Jinx
Jinx has been one of the highest-picked ADCs for the entire season. In this update, she received a small nerf that reduced her health from 610 to 560. It may seem like a small amount, but it makes a huge difference if you can stop her in the lane and prevent her from scaling.
Xayah
Xayah is currently one of the most annoying ADCs to deal with because of her insane poke damage, crowd control, and escape tools. Her lethality build makes her very strong, especially against squishy targets. To change this, developers reduced her Double Daggers (Q) damage from 45/65/85/105/125 (+50% bonus AD) to 45/60/75/90/105 (+50% bonus AD). While its cooldown is increased from 10/9/8/7/6 to 10/9.5/9/8.5/8 seconds. These changes may help favor the crit build.
Soraka
Soraka is a very strong support champion in mid to late game because of the healing she provides to her team. Soraka can do this at the backline for an extended period, which forces enemies to target her first. To balance her kit, developers nerfed her Astral Infusion (W) from 100/135/170/205/240 (+70% AP) to 100/130/160/190/220 (+65% AP).
