The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom introduced a lot of new features and mechanics and built up from its predecessor's success.

However, one thing that remains the same is that players still want to get their hands on the elusive Master Sword. This is a very powerful weapon in the game that can be a game-changer for a lot of people.

But actually getting the Master Sword in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is not a different story altogether. Fortunately, this guide helps players figure out just where and how to acquire this powerful weapon.

How To Get the Master Sword

The Master Sword, which is very useful as it is a weapon that will never break, just needing a recharge, also does double damage to a majority of the enemies you face in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, according to GamesRadar.

The first thing you need to get this legendary weapon is to get at least two full wheels of Stamina. Then, you need to complete all of the Geoglyphs or speak to the Deku Tree in order to reveal the location of the Master Sword.

Next is using your glider or aerial vehicles in order to get to the head of the Light Dragon and you can then use your entire two wheels of Stamina to pull out the Master Sword.

What are the Geoglyphs

One of the main requirements for getting the Master Sword is completing the Geoglyphs, of which there are a total of 11 to find.

These are spread out across the entire map and the best way to spot them is by looking down from the sky islands or after launching yourself with a fast travel tower.

Revealing the Master Sword's Location

While going to the head of the Light Dragon is the most straightforward way to get the Master Sword, there is a way for players to find out the weapon's location. This is by entering Korok Forest and making your way past the Lost Woods.

You will have to go into the Minshi Chasm in order to reach the Depths and you will later have to defeat a boss to restore an area and rid it of gloom. This is the way to get the Deku Tree to reveal the Master Sword's location, said VG247.

After you get the Master Sword, it will quickly become one of your main weapons especially because you don't have to worry about it breaking. After some use, the game will show you a prompt notifying you that the Master Sword has run out of energy.

This forces players to wait 10 minutes in real life before they can once again use the power of the legendary sword. Furthermore, if you look in your inventory and highlight the Master Sword, you will see a timer in the description.

This timer will remain paused while you are looking on this particular screen, which means that it will only move if you are actively controlling Link, according to Polygon.
