If you haven’t heard of Len’s Island, now would be a good time to look a little closer into this game. That’s because a free demo is going to be available during the Steam Next Fest from June 16 to June 22. To give you an idea, the game is basically about four things: build, fight, farm, and explore.
During the festival, there's a live stream on Steam hosted by the developer on June 18. A walkthrough of the demo will be included along with a Q&A with lead developer Julian Ball.
You can watch the official gameplay trailer below:
In the game, players are taken to a town with nothing but tools in their backpack and a can-do attitude. As they build a new life, they get to learn more about the dark secrets that the island hides.
Len’s Island has players build the home they want. That’s right! They can build it wherever they want and even as big as they want it to be. The game has a rather unique modular building system where players get to feel as if they are veterans of home design.
Players can also build farms to grow food which can then be used to fuel those days when exploring the islands. They are just as helpful when exploring dungeons. Players can choose between small garden beds on the balcony and large-scale farms that cut across the forest.
Now Len's Island isn’t just about building and framing. It’s also a skill-driven, fast-paced dungeon crawler where players can practice their combat skills in dungeons. Besides building a home, they can rebuild their surroundings, like fixing the old broken bridge.
