Life Is Strange: True Colors is officially announced. The game was rumored for the last few weeks, however, it was formally revealed yesterday during the Square Enix presentation. True Colors is the third mainline entry in the LIS franchise. You can watch the announcement trailer below.
The game will launch on September 10, 2021, assuming that there are no delays due to COVID-19. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.
Unlike the previous titles, True Colors will be released as a full game but it will still consist of five episodes. The good thing about the change is you won’t have to wait for months to get the next episode. All five episodes are available when you buy the game.
You can already preorder the game on Steam, and it is available in three editions. The Standard Edition will only contain the base game and will cost you $59.50. The Deluxe Edition will contain the base game along with an exclusive bonus story episode called "Wavelengths" for $69.27. The Ultimate Edition contains the most amount of stuff. Along with everything from the Deluxe Edition, you will also get access to the remastered versions of the original Life Is Strange and Before the Storm expansion pack for $79.81.
Fans of the original LIS will not be forced to buy the sequel. They can purchase the remasters of both the base game and the prequel game separately. The actual price of these remastered hasn’t been announced yet. Feel free to watch the trailer above.
