The adventure platformer Little Bug is now available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It had already been released on PC through Steam a few years back.
The game focuses on Nyah, an eight-year-old who studies life science and loves to explore nature. She lives with her mom and baby sister and sometimes stays with her grandma. It’s actually her grandma who feeds Nyah’s imagination, but perhaps her grandma’s stories are not just stories. As she is walking home from school, Nyah is suddenly transported to a dark and hostile world filled with moonlit deserts and bottomless canyons.
In the game, players take on the role of not only Nyah but also her light companion. The two share an incredible bond with the latter allowing Nyah to swing and jump high as well as destroy any obstacles. It also lights her path which can lead to secret areas and even defeat demons.
As part of the gameplay, players control Nyah and her light companion at the same time. Coordination between the two characters is important, though players could learn their unique play style intuitively.
Players collect items that have fragments of Nyah’s life to piece her story together. Some of the treasures can be offered to the cat spirit Roadkill and unlock secret zones.
Features of the game include:
- A unique and dangerous fantasy world full of strange evil spirits.
- Enjoy an outstanding graphic style that shows colorful locations combined with pleasant soft lighting.
- Two playable characters connected with unique physics-based swinging mechanics.
- Hidden treasures to discover and unveil secrets about Nyah’s past.
- Secret bonus levels with lots of new challenges to unlock.
