Lone Ruin is releasing on PC through Steam and Nintendo Switch on January 12. The game invites everyone to an adventure in an old and magical ruin looking for ancient power. It's a highly replayable roguelike twin-stick shooter with players being able to optimize spells and come up with ultimate combos to beat various twisted monstrosities.
This is going to be the second release under the new Originals publishing label of Super Rare. The first one was Grapple Dog, launched early this year.
In the game, players take on the role of an explorer searching for a mysterious ancient power in a ruined magical city. This city was built on top of a source of magic used by mages of old to power and transform themselves.
Having heard the legends, the players arrive at the ruins a millennia later. As a gifted spellcasting explorer, players have to find the ancient power to finally clean the city of corruption. The answer is likely in the center of the Lone Ruin, but can they make it there?
