MADtv, the show that sparked a million Stewart impersonations, is finally coming back to television. The Hollywood Reporter announced that MADtv will be coming back on the CW for eight brand-new hour-long episodes. There will be new cast members, and old ones will return to guest host. An hour-long reunion special premiered earlier this year, ushering in this brand new show.

David E. Salsman, one of the show’s executive producers said: “The MADtv franchise is as vibrant as ever thanks largely to social and digital media appealing to a fan base numbering in the millions that relates to the show’s brand of authentic and irreverent cross-cultural comedy,"

The original MADtv ran for fourteen years, and gave us some of the best comedic talent of the last two decades. Key and Peele, Nicole Sullivan and Alex Borstein are just a few of the many faces that came out of the original show’s run.

I have fond memories of MADtv ; I watched the reruns on Comedy Central religiously. Will Sacco’s Randy Newman is the only impression that I can do flawlessly. Michael McDonald’s Stuart had me rolling on the floor for years, yelling at my parents “let me do it.” I met Aries Spears once and he told me that I look like “one of the kids from the Brady Bunch if they masturbated to Xbox.” I still have no idea what he meant.
