Electronic Arts is holding a celebrity showdown with Pro Bowl: The Madden NFL 21 Edition. The event will start on January 31 at 5:00 PM EST. It’s going to cap a week of Pro Bowl celebration and even comes with a free trial of the game.
The event will stream through the NFL’s official sites like YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. It’s not all streaming as the event airs on primetime on NFL Network at 8:00 PM EST. There’s also a replay at 12:30 AM EST.
Before we take a closer look at the upcoming event, the game is set to be released for the Google Stadia on February 8. Even before the official launch, there’s a free trial for the Stadia from January 28 to 31.
The new event will be presented by Verizon and features these celebrities:
- American Football Conference
- Snoop Dogg
- Deshaun Watson
- Derrick Henry
- Keyshawn Johnson
- National Football Conference
- Bubba Wallace
- Marshawn Lynch
- Kyler Murray
- Jamal Adams
The two teams feature 2021 Pro Bowl QBs as their team leads and use official Pro Bowl rosters. But because of the pandemic, they’ll be playing from their homes. Serving as hosts for the event are Michael Strahan and Charissa Thompson. Meanwhile, streamers Ninja, FaZe Swagg, AustinShow, and AMP, are hosting live watch parties on their respective channels.
In a press release, EA's David Tinson shared that they have always committed to making sure that fans get to experience football in new ways. With this year’s Pro Bowl, Tinson said they’re offering new chances to be able to connect to fans. NFL's Peter O'Reilly said that the Pro Bowl is one of the highlights of the year, and they’re excited for fans to see what they have in store with this EA partnership.
Snoop Dog told that he’s excited about this new event and warns the other team to watch out since they’ll be grabbing the championship title.
