'Marvel Rivals' Bug: 2 Characters' Powers Can Kick Players Off Map
Players are now taking their grievances to Reddit to discuss a new exploit in "Marvel Rivals," featuring the special powers of two characters in the game, namely Doctor Strange and Jeff the Land Shark. In the video posted by a Redditor, they claimed that they want to raise awareness regarding this bug as it creates an unfair advantage for the team using these characters.
What happens is that both Doctor Strange and Jeff's ultimate skills in the game can help throw people into the "Shadow Realm," and the bug keeps them from getting out until after the match ends. Teams need to have Doctor Strange and Jeff as a duo to make this happen, with the Master of the Mystic Arts' portals skill capable of creating this new world to trap players.
On the other hand, Jeff the Land Shark's ultimate skill where he devours players is used, scooping up all of the characters it can in one move and then spitting them out straight into the portal which would then be closed by Doctor Strange.
According to the OP, this creates a massive mismatch in the game where players are sent out of the map with no way to get back in the game, and the absence of friendly fire prevents teams trapped in this realm from eliminating each other so they may respawn again. Moreover, the OP claims that while there are several more options that players can consider, these are time consuming and may result in players returning to an already defeated team.
You Will Remain in the Shadow Realm Throughout the Match
Players who get devoured by Jeff the Land Shark spat out to one of Doctor Strange's portals and trapped in the Shadow Realm have no way of making it out and emerge victorious with their teams. This means that teams can only hear or communicate with each other after being trapped and will only get out of this portal trap after the match ends.
According to the OP, users may opt to disconnect from the game and rejoin the match they were most recently in to return, but that would already be too late as their remaining teammates were left with multiple players down.
