NetEase Games released a new patch for its famed arena-based action shooter, "Marvel Rivals," and it brings a new set of experiences for players to enjoy.
First, there is a fresh gameplay mode available to all "Marvel Rivals" players called the "Clone Rumble," which let users fight off against the same pool of characters available to choose from.
On the other hand, there is also a special event coming that focuses on Galacta, along with fixes to maps and modes, heroes, and various experiences in the game that faced previous issues.
'Marvel Rivals' New Update Brings 'Clone Rumble' Game Mode
The latest update from "Marvel Rivals" delivers version 20250307, with the company sharing the patch notes of this massive drop that offers new experiences. One of the biggest experiences introduced in this update is the latest game mode called "Clone Rumble," which will have players fight against clones of the heroes available in the pool to choose from.
There have been other games which featured a similar game mode before, which is similar to a mirror match where players are pitted against clones of their characters or avatars, complete with the same abilities and skills. However, "Clone Rumble" will allow players to choose their preferred hero to use in the new mode, but there will be a character pool to choose from that guarantees that they will find clones to fight against.
While having the same abilities, skills, and character type, it all boils down to a player's capabilities and wits to outplay the other team in "Clone Rumble."
It has not been revealed by NetEase Games which characters will be part of the hero pool under the "Clone Rumble" mode.
New 'Galacta' Event, Skins, Fixes on New 'Marvel Rivals' Patch
The new "Clone Rumble" game mode is part of the latest feature of this new "Marvel Rivals" update, which also features the special event called "Galacta's Cosmic Adventure" that will launch on March 7 at 1 a.m. Pacific Time.
The event will be available until April 11 at 1:59:59 AM Pacific Time, and it has a special treat for gamers who will complete the event.
"Marvel Rivals" is offering a free skin to earn as part of the "Galacta's Cosmic Adventure event," and this is the exclusive Black Widow - Mrs. Barnes costume that will be available to redeem for free after completion.
NetEase Games also shared the event duration's specific dates and times for players to join:
- March 7, 2025, 1:00:00 a.m. PT - March 10, 2025, 2:00:00 a.m.PT
- March 14, 2025, 2:00:00 a.m.PT - March 17, 2025, 2:00:00 a.m.PT
- March 21, 2025, 2:00:00 a.m.PT - March 14, 2025, 2:00:00 a.m.PT
Alongside this, there are various hero optimizations introduced by the game, including Human Torch's Lord Proficiency avatar reward, microphone voice enhancement, and a way to report players who leave matches before they start while in the match.
Loki, The Human Torch, The Punisher, Hela, Wolverine, Jeff, Adam, and Peni Parker's skills have also been given a fix in this latest patch, solving the issues found in their abilities.
