Ever wanted to experience what it means to walk on water? How about turning water into wine? If game developer SimulaM could pull it off, then everyone gets that chance with I Am Jesus Christ. The title was revealed last Christmas. Now, SimulaM announced the launching of a Kickstarter campaign sometime in early 2021.
Before we go to some of the game's details, take a look at the cool trailer below:
I Am Jesus Christ is an interactive first-person game that puts players in the middle of everything and gets to experience the life of Christ. It's been getting quite the attention since the initial announcement, especially with its realistic depiction. While the trailer above mainly shows the nativity, players can expect a lot of key moments in the life of Christ. These moments will appear in the final version of the game.
Besides Jesus Christ, the game also lets players interact with at least 60 Biblical characters. They also have the chance to perform more than 30 miracles. Developer SimulaM made sure to faithfully recreate many of the locations like the City of Jerusalem and even Galilee.
The game itself is based on the New International Version of The Bible. It retells all the events in the life of Christ from birth to adulthood, and even his crucifixion and resurrection. In addition to the New Testament narrative, the game is bringing to the table several traditional game mechanics like abilities, quests, and even open world travel.
The Kickstarter page created for the game is expected to go live in early February. For now, players can visit the site here and sign up for notifications. Interested players can also go to the Steam store page and wishlist the game.
