Developer 4A Games, creators of Metro: 2033 and Metro: Last Light, have teased their next project on both Twitter and Facebook. While the hints don’t give much away, it’s pretty clear this new game will not be Metro 3 or in the Metro franchise at all.

Based on the pictures released, it looks like the game will be a first-person shooter. There is also a bit of a holographic HUD and a futuristic-looking grid in the picture released on Twitter. Despite the Metro games being set in the future, they are definitely not high-tech like environments shown in these screenshots.
We can also see what looks like a hand holding a gun in the picture shared on Facebook. Both pictures show the character in some fancy-looking suit. Unfortunately, those two cropped images were the only ones shared by the developer.
So what is this new game? No idea. That’s the exciting thing; we’re going to be getting something new from a developer that has shown it can deliver fun games.
We likely will not hear anything about this game by the end of the year. Don’t be surprised to see whatever this is at next year’s E3, though.
