Minecon 2019 showed us enough about Minecraft Dungeons to eagerly wait for its launch in Spring 2020, but some people have the chance to experience the game a little bit sooner. Announced earlier today on the official Minecraft Dungeons Twitter account, sign-ups are live for the game's upcoming closed beta.
To sign up for the closed beta, all you have to do is head over to the official Minecraft Dungeons website, fill out the right forms (you'll need a Microsoft account to get started), and be over the age of 18. Once you have that sorted, voila - you're in the running for the closed beta that the devs have planned in the (hopefully) not-too-distant future.
We don't have an exact date yet on when the closed beta will actually kick off, but for folks who want to be the first to see what exactly Minecraft Dungeons has up its sleeve can sign up for some good old-fashioned "early access" through the closed-beta.
Announced last year, it came as no surprise when the community gave its overwhelming support for Minecraft Dungeons. In Minecraft Dungeons, players set out on quests and take on monsters with either might or magic instead of building and crafting. The game will even incorporate popular action RPG features such as a more nuanced loot system and cooperative multiplayer with dynamic difficulty settings.
Will you be signing up for the closed beta for Minecraft Dungeons? What are you thoughts on it being an action adventure game that's set in the rocky, blocky world of Minecraft? What features, gameplay mechanics, and other elements do you hope to see when the game comes out next spring? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
