Minecraft Dungeons is an adventure game set in the Minecraft Universe. Mojang Studios, the developers of Minecraft Dungeons, just announced their plans for the new Creeping Winter DLC, which will launch on September 8. This update will be out for players across Xbox One, PC, Switch, and PS4.
As the name suggests, the Creeping Winter DLC will bring in a frosty environment to the world of Minecraft Dungeons. In the new DLC, a winter storm is growing and threatening those nearby. Players will need to team up to tackle new enemies and hopefully find a way to stop the storm's spread. The new update brings in new armor, weapons, and artifacts which you will get as you play through the DLC’s campaign.
“The third of our big September 8 announcements is that Minecraft Dungeons is available in physical format! You can finally hold the Nintendo, Sony, and Xbox versions of the game in your hand. The physical retail version of the game is the Hero Edition of the game, which includes the Jungle Awakens DLC, Creeping Winter DLC, base game, and unique cosmetics.” the official blog post stated.
Mojang Studios is also planning to launch a new free update along with the release of the DLC, which will include new features such as new merchants and daily trials. If you save the captured merchants you encounter while you play, the merchants will set up a shop in your camp. The daily challenges will provide exciting new quests every day. These challenges can make Minecraft Dungeons more difficult and fun for you to play.
So, what are your thoughts on the new story-based Minecraft series? Do you think they should have stuck with the base game and kept adding content instead of releasing more story-based games? Personally, I think the new update will be fun to play as Mojang has a good record of impressing the players. Whatever your thoughts may be, let us know in the comments below.
